Fast Weight Loss Exercises
Three Easy and Fast Weight Loss Exercises
Everyone wants to look their best, but it’s not always easy. Peoples’ schedules are dominated by work, school, family and other obligations, so there seems to be little time to exercise. On top of that, the ease and simplicity of greasy, sugary, calorie dense fast foods and drinks are contributing to the epidemic of increasingly expanding waistlines. All that extra weight can make you not only feel tired, slow and unhealthy, but it makes you feel bad about yourself, too. There is no magic bullet cure to being overweight. None of those gimmicky popular diets or questionable supplements will help you. There is only one way to achieve your results, and that is with good, old fashioned fast weight loss exercises.
Go for a Walk
Walking is great exercise, even if you don’t break a sweat. It boosts metabolism, burns calories and keeps your heart in good working order. Your walks don’t have to be very long. There’s no need to walk for several miles. About a mile a day is ideal, but even shorter walks make a big difference! It’s easy to fit walking into your daily routine for fast weight loss exercises. If you live close to your place of employment, leave the car at home and use your feet. If you have any spare time in your lunch hour, or after dinner at night, try taking a walk then. Besides helping you to lose weight, it improves digestion, and improves blood flow to the brain to help you perform and sleep better.
Also consider taking the stairs whenever possible instead of the elevator. Walking up stairs is excellent exercise, and will also help tone your legs and buttocks, as well as improving cardiovascular function.
Pump Iron
Lifting weights isn’t only for big, bulky body builders! Weight lifting is one of the best and most productive fast weight loss exercises. If you want to loose weight quickly, this is the way to do it. The lean muscle mass gained from this type of exercise is necessary for losing weight, because it speeds up your metabolism dramatically. Weight lifting also give both men and women a hormonal boost that will increase weight loss and energy, prevent the storage of more fat, and make them feel great.
The best weight lifting exercises to do are squats, leg presses and lateral pull downs. Another exercise, called the farmer’s walk, can be done anywhere and is performed by carrying heavy weight in each hand, with the arms down at the sides, and walking with it for a short distance.
Body Weight Exercises
Don’t have time to go to the gym or can’t afford a weight set? If this is the case, then you may want to give body weight exercises a try. Some common examples of body weight exercises are push ups and pull ups. You can also do a variation of the squat that uses only your own weight. See how many times you can squat up and down rapidly before your legs get too tired. You’d be surprised how well it works!
